Nancy Thomas

Hometown: Ridgely, MD

Thomas’s early studies were at the Torpedo Factory, Alexandria, VA and The Corcoran School of Art, Washington DC and Northern VA Community College. A travel study tour of Italy, prompted Thomas to take up watercolor.

 

With the Plein Air movement she returned to oil painting and juried into Plein Air Easton 2018. One of her exhibit pieces was purchased for a permanent collection by The Avalon Foundation.

 

Thomas is a Partner in The Artists’ Gallery in Chestertown, MD. She continues to enjoy painting “en plein aire” up and down the eastern seaboard, capturing the beautiful light of the landscapes and waterways.
